type='text'>

Our boys are growing fast. Yesterday Paxton had climbed up on Jay's lap and was reading Brown Bear, Brown Bear to him. It was soo cute. I cant tell you how many times I have read it to him it was so funny to have him "reading" it Jay. Payson as always is our little Chuncky Monkey. I took him to the doctors this week (I thought he had the chicken pox, but it was just some sort of rash) and he weights 24 pounds 13 ounces, up 13 ounces in the last 2-3 weeks.

Payson is starting to crawl and wants to be invovlved in everything that Paxton is doing. Jay has been driving a day or two a week and enjoys getting out of the house. I am still waiting to transfer to L&D but hopefully it happens soon.

We recently moved into a townhouse in Ammon. It is nice not to be in apartments anymore and to be soo close to work. My commute it now 4 minutes instead of 30. I love it. We have a big backyard that Paxton really enjoys.

Needle to say I have been a little bit of a slacker when it comes to updating the blog. Lets see in the past several months we have had several changes in our life. The biggest of which would be our new addition Payson Frederic Purser who was born in January. We moved out of our house and into an apartment in February. Jay is now driving truck part time and to this point enjoying it. Paxton is, well, two. All boy and all two. Busy, busy, busy.

It has been quite the adventure with 2 little boys. A fun adventure. Maybe I can even post some pictures soon.

My two Rules

Most of you know that I am a nurse. I work in the women's center, so for the most part my patients are young and healthy. You know, just had a baby or had some sort of women's surgery, hysterectomy, bladder repair, something like that. And to be honest I love that about my job. Periodically I like to joke around with my patients and tell them that I only have two rules and as long as they follow those we will get along just fine. My rules are that they cant fall and that they have to breath, "otherwise there is just too much paperwork." So normally they laugh and everything is fine.

Apparently last week I was not clear on my rules. I had a patient in her late twenties that came to me from surgery about 30 minutes before the end of my shift at 3:00. I got her settle and gave her some pain medication to help her get comfortable and encouraged her to give in to the tired feeling and go to sleep, explaining that she would feel a lot better when she woke up and left her with family. By this time it was about 15 minutes till shift change and the medication I gave takes about 45-60 minutes to become effective so there was really no for me to go back to check on her, especially since I now had all of the admission paperwork to complete before I could go home. For some reason I cant explain I went back at 3:00 to check on her rather than sitting down to give report and I found her alone and NOT BREATHING, well needless to say that was pretty scary and not exactly how I wanted to end my shift. Everything worked out fine. She did well and went home the next day but it occurs to me that I never took the time to talk to her about the rules and the endless paperwork that follows.

Barking

Well in the last couple months we have been pretty busy, mostly just trying to keep up with Paxton. He as you will see got a hair cut and now looks even more like Daddy. He is soo ready for warm weather, but aren't we all. Paxton loves to be outside. He will stand at the front door and bang and bang on it until you open it for him. Then he just stands there and stares outside. One of his favorite things is the dog across the street. If you listen really closely you can hear him barking at the dog.

<embed src="http://www.youtube.com/get_player" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"width="359" height="338" bgcolor="#FFFFFF"flashvars="flvurl=http://v22.nonxt4.googlevideo.com/videoplayback?id%3D602a026ad634753e%26itag%3D5%26app%3Dblogger%26ip%3D0.0.0.0%26ipbits%3D0%26expire%3D1331280344%26sparams%3Did,itag,ip,ipbits,expire%26signature%3D56CE4BB7A8105E7E7E8B7D38A80F92123ED8C57D.7C4386D9EE6D2A450BB8C2184799194A691DCBF7%26key%3Dck1&iurl=http://video.google.com/ThumbnailServer2?app%3Dblogger%26contentid%3D602a026ad634753e%26offsetms%3D5000%26itag%3Dw160%26sigh%3DBKq6sWXWJDu5p-8DnLKufqh-zhQ&autoplay=0&ps=blogger"allowFullScreen="true" />

Mommy's Little Helper

I am not quite sure why, but Paxton has a fascination with the vacuum. He constantly wants it on, if it is sitting out he will sit there and whine until you turn it in. He has also found where it is kept, the hall closet and will bang on the door wanting the vacuum out. I guess it helps keep my house cleaner making me vacuum more often. The only problem is he makes it very difficult to actually vacuum. He usually sits in front of it looking at the light. Or on this particular day last week he was helping me. Kinda cute. Anyway, that's all for now.

Well I am a little bit slow. To start it was snowing and the wind was bowing, not so bad if you can stay inside, however knowing that I had to work today, or at least was supposed to work, Jay and I took turns shoveling the drive way and when we had it clear I was content to start some long overdue laundry. too bad I had too many towels and burnt up the motor in the washing machine, So we were going to go to Jay parents to do some laundry, however the lovely wing decided to cover our freshly shoveled driveway with like 18inches of snow. Needless to stay we got stuck trying to leave and had to shovel our way out. Well after we finally got out and too his parents all was well, except oh wait, his grandparents Christmas party was last night, all well and good but scheduled at 7pm. Which is Paxtons birthday, so by 745 Paxton was soo tired that I had to go upstairs and put him to sleep. Of course the only way to do that when we are not at home is to sing to him and rock him. Great, done. But with nowhere to put him down I got to hold him and anytime I tried getting close to the party he would start waking up due to the noise, so I was stuck in the office all night. Yeah finally time to go home. Not so fast, the Idaho wind that I love soooooo much thought it necessary to dump all the snow from our ward and the one next door onto out driveway. Literally 3 feet of snow at the end of the driveway at 10pm, while in the meantime you could see the dirt in the yard. I felt like screaming. The weather forecast called for wind all night and not really being excited about spending an hour to yet again dig my way out I call into to work for today. Now all I have to do is figure a way to get the car back into the garage.

Cookie Monster

While in California with my family for Thanksgiving we made some Christmas cookies, one of those being Chocolate Crinkles. I have a funny feeling crawling wont be his only method of getting around for much longer

Still trying

Well I told you it was an attempt, I will have to keep working on it.

We have been spending some time recently working on the deck and yard. Trying to get it finished before winter hits. Paxton sure enjoys it, he loves to be outside. He had the time of his life playing in the deck while Jay was working on the stairs, and earlier this week he spent time in the skidster with Jay while we level the dirt in the yard. Boy did he think that was fun. I think we are just about done with all we can do outside. Now it is time to move on to the basement. The sheat rock is done and Jay has been working on the trim while he is not watching Paxton.

Work is still going well for me. No really changes in that department. Paxton is crawling around and getting into everything. His favorite toy is the baby monitor, he loves to stand up to our night stand and pull it off. One day soon he will be walking. That will make him that much hard to keep track of.

Jay appearntly pull a muscle or something in his back this week, but he woke up yesterday and could hardly move. It's a good thing his sister was able to come help out with Paxton till I got home from work. hopefull he will feel better soon.

For now that is all, best of wishes to all of you!

Welcome

Hey everyone,

So this is my attempt at blogging. I guess we will see how it goes.

Life has been very busy around here recently. Paxton has discovered the joy of being mobile and is into everything he can reach. It is a lot of fun to watch him explore. He is learning so much so fast.

As for Jay, when he is not being Mr. Mom he is working on getting the basement finished. Right now he is working on the trim, just a couple more rooms to go before we can start the prep work(filling in holes and caulking). Then comes the paint.

I am keeping busy between Paxton and work. We have been having lots of babies recently and been very busy, but I am still really enjoying it.

Well I guess that is it for now. Just trying to get it up and going.
