Our boys are growing fast. Yesterday Paxton had climbed up on Jay's lap and was reading Brown Bear, Brown Bear to him. It was soo cute. I cant tell you how many times I have read it to him it was so funny to have him "reading" it Jay. Payson as always is our little Chuncky Monkey. I took him to the doctors this week (I thought he had the chicken pox, but it was just some sort of rash) and he weights 24 pounds 13 ounces, up 13 ounces in the last 2-3 weeks.

Payson is starting to crawl and wants to be invovlved in everything that Paxton is doing. Jay has been driving a day or two a week and enjoys getting out of the house. I am still waiting to transfer to L&D but hopefully it happens soon.

We recently moved into a townhouse in Ammon. It is nice not to be in apartments anymore and to be soo close to work. My commute it now 4 minutes instead of 30. I love it. We have a big backyard that Paxton really enjoys.

Needle to say I have been a little bit of a slacker when it comes to updating the blog. Lets see in the past several months we have had several changes in our life. The biggest of which would be our new addition Payson Frederic Purser who was born in January. We moved out of our house and into an apartment in February. Jay is now driving truck part time and to this point enjoying it. Paxton is, well, two. All boy and all two. Busy, busy, busy.

It has been quite the adventure with 2 little boys. A fun adventure. Maybe I can even post some pictures soon.

My two Rules

Most of you know that I am a nurse. I work in the women's center, so for the most part my patients are young and healthy. You know, just had a baby or had some sort of women's surgery, hysterectomy, bladder repair, something like that. And to be honest I love that about my job. Periodically I like to joke around with my patients and tell them that I only have two rules and as long as they follow those we will get along just fine. My rules are that they cant fall and that they have to breath, "otherwise there is just too much paperwork." So normally they laugh and everything is fine.

Apparently last week I was not clear on my rules. I had a patient in her late twenties that came to me from surgery about 30 minutes before the end of my shift at 3:00. I got her settle and gave her some pain medication to help her get comfortable and encouraged her to give in to the tired feeling and go to sleep, explaining that she would feel a lot better when she woke up and left her with family. By this time it was about 15 minutes till shift change and the medication I gave takes about 45-60 minutes to become effective so there was really no for me to go back to check on her, especially since I now had all of the admission paperwork to complete before I could go home. For some reason I cant explain I went back at 3:00 to check on her rather than sitting down to give report and I found her alone and NOT BREATHING, well needless to say that was pretty scary and not exactly how I wanted to end my shift. Everything worked out fine. She did well and went home the next day but it occurs to me that I never took the time to talk to her about the rules and the endless paperwork that follows.

Barking

Well in the last couple months we have been pretty busy, mostly just trying to keep up with Paxton. He as you will see got a hair cut and now looks even more like Daddy. He is soo ready for warm weather, but aren't we all. Paxton loves to be outside. He will stand at the front door and bang and bang on it until you open it for him. Then he just stands there and stares outside. One of his favorite things is the dog across the street. If you listen really closely you can hear him barking at the dog.

Mommy's Little Helper

I am not quite sure why, but Paxton has a fascination with the vacuum. He constantly wants it on, if it is sitting out he will sit there and whine until you turn it in. He has also found where it is kept, the hall closet and will bang on the door wanting the vacuum out. I guess it helps keep my house cleaner making me vacuum more often. The only problem is he makes it very difficult to actually vacuum. He usually sits in front of it looking at the light. Or on this particular day last week he was helping me. Kinda cute. Anyway, that's all for now.

Well I am a little bit slow. I wrote this post back at the beginning of Feb but never got around to up loading the video. So here it is now, better late than never I guess.
